GAZA, (PIC)– Wa’ed society for detainees and ex-detainees said the Palestinian prisoners coordinated their efforts to start the largest open hunger strike next April in all Israeli jails.
“The national prisoner movement in jails agreed on the zero hour for the launch of the hunger strike and make an announcement in this regard shortly before its start to avoid any security measures of transfer and solitary confinement to be taken by the Zionist prison forces in order to foil the strike,” Wa’ed society stated on Wednesday.
The society was told that the hunger strike would be a decisive and pivotal step to pressure the Israeli prison authority to meet their just demands with regards to ending the solitary imprisonment of all prisoners, the improper medical care, the restrictions imposed on family visits and the administrative detention.
